Did you know this month is Ramadan? Ramadan is one of the holiest times in the Islamic calendar where Muslims observe a strict fasting from dawn to sunset.

Here are some tips on how to be allies:

  • Be mindful that water, coffee and food withdrawal is a thing for many.

  • Be kind and forgive them if people are a little cranky.

  • Ask observers what they’re honoring during Ramadan —not just what they’re sacrificing.

  • Be mindful that those who are observing Ramadan and are fasting may experience fatigue and need extra breaks during testing and class.  During lunch if you want a food free environment room 202 is available.

Due to increased cell phone theft make sure that you DO NOT leave your belongings unattended. Due to an increase in bathroom vandalism, we will be locking all bathroom doors during class time.
